ERAS: An industrial story
In its early days, ERASS - the acronym was modified a few years later - was a Franche-Comté company specialising in instrumentation. Taken over in 1991 by Yves POIVEY, the company is rapidly evolving with the creation of several branches near the major French industrial centres, and the association of different trades (Electricity, Instrumentation, Automatism) in a more global approach. A new positioning was adopted in 1996: that of assembler to support manufacturers in the creation and development of their plants.
In 1998, ERAS began to set up a dynamic quality system enabling it to obtain ISO 9001 certification. ERAS is gradually becoming structured as a design office for all trades, optimizing its tools and working methods. The company is also embarking on an external growth phase to expand its network of branches and skills in order to penetrate new business sectors.
With the creation of the process department in 2004, ERAS acquired the last element it needed to become an engineering company. The head office, previously based in Besançon, was relocated to Lyon in 2007. In its quest for markets, ERAS continues to grow thanks to a strong recruitment policy and the acquisition of several companies opening the doors to new specialities. In addition, in the face of the increasing globalization of industrial investments, the company must offer its customers new forms of support. Relying on the trusting relationship it has been able to build with its customers, ERAS supports them in their international projects. ERAS is today a privileged partner of the industry, transforming today's plants and creating tomorrow's plants, in France and around the world.
In 2018, ENDEL ENGIE acquired ERAS. This strategic operation provides customers of both companies, particularly in the process industries, with a broader range of products designed to optimize the performance of their industrial assets at each stage of their lives.
